In what looks as if it was coming straight from the German Gestapo era, a soldier associated with the Nigerian Army, 3 Battalion Effurun, Delta State, forcefully cut the hair of a clergy man at a check point.
Reverend Felix Omas, the general overseer and founder of Tower of Faith Ministries, got was on his way to Warri, Delter State when the soldier gave him the unpaid haircut at gunpoint on Monday.
“I was driving in my SUV but due to the traffic situation, I boarded a tricycle,” distraught Omas said recounting his suffering at the Warri NUJ Secretariat.
The soldiers stopped our Keke as we were coming from Alegbor, forcefully seated me on the ground as one of them pulled a scissors and stroke three ugly cuts on my hair, saying my hair style violates their rules.”
Authorities of the 3 Battalion confirmed the incident, adding that the erring soldier has been arrested and would face the wrath of the law.
