A terror kingpin has been detected among the wanted terrorists in the ongoing screening of some arrested 486 suspects.
Defence Headquarters (DHQ) made the revelation on Tuesday, saying the suspects were nabbed along Enugu-Port Harcourt expressway while travelling in over 33 Hiace Hummer buses on the night of15th June.
According to a statement issued in Abuja by the Director of Defence Information, Maj.-Gen. Chris Olukolade the identified terror kingpin had been taken into custody and further development would be communicated in due course.
Olukolade stated that other security agencies including the para-military have also joined in the screening exercise to ascertain the status of the remaining suspects.
He added that those identified as possible security risk or illegal immigrants were expected to be identified for further action.
