Special Adviser on Central Business District to Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos, Mrs. Aderinola Disu, has resigned.

Mrs. Disu’s resignation, according to government’s statement was to make her devote her full time to family commitments.

Reluctant Fashola accepted the resignation on Friday and immediately approved her replacement with the Managing Director of the Lagos State Number Plate Production Agency, Mr. Folorunsho Folarin-Coker.

The statement signed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, Hakeem Bello, revealed that the resignation followed months of consultation during which Disu repeatedly explained her desire dedicate all her time to her family.

Fashola, wished the woman the very best in all her endeavours, he also thanked her for her immense contributions as a public officer with several years of outstanding performance. He also applauded her distinguished service as the Special Adviser on the Lagos State Central Business District from 2011 till her resignation on Friday.

Folarin-Coker, who takes over from Disu, was born 27th July 1965 to the families of Agoro and Coker of Lagos. He is the son of Chief Folarin Coker, a popular Lagos All Progressives Congress member and Baba Eto of Lagos. He has been serving in different capacity in government since 1999.

He attended St Gregory’s College Obalende. He holds a B.A. Hons. Degree from the University of Manchester and a post graduate Diploma from the Diplomatic Academy of Westminster University, London.
