Three members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) aspiring for the party’s ticket ahead of the Ekiti State governorship election have been disqualified.

The trio of Senator Bode Olowoporoku, Peter Obafemi and Bosede Dada were screened out by the screening committee chaired by Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba.

While Olowoporoku was disqualified for failing to provide his tax clearance certificate as well as document verifying the court judgment he claimed nullifed his expulsion from the party at a time, Obafemi was rejected for failing to produce his NYSC discharge certificate.

In her own case, Dada was disqualified over her inability to produce her Secondary School Leaving Certificate, or evidence of payment of membership dues or tax clearance certificate.

However, the disqualified aspirants can still appeal their case before the party’s screening appeal committee.

Meanwhile, 13 other aspirants successfully scaled through the screening. They are Caleb Olubolade, Ayo Fayose, Dayo Adeyeye, Oluwadare Bejide, Bodunde Adeyanju, Erelu Ogundipe, Gbenga Aluko and Abiodun Aluko.

Others are Adewale Aribisala, Adebisi Omoyeni, Oluropo Ogunbolude, Omolara Adubiaro and Ayodeji Ajayi.
