Kidnappers who attacked Maranatha Baptist Church and St Moses Catholic Church in Robuh, Ungwan Aku, Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Sunday, have demanded N100m as a ransom for the 36 worshippers they abducted.

The bandits later released the traditional leader of Angwan Fada at Rubu community, Elisha Mari, and asked him to go and source the amount for the release of his subjects.

Mari disclosed this to journalists on Monday when the heads of security agencies met with a delegation of the Kaduna State government to assess the situation in the place.

The Community Head said the attackers arrived in the villages riding on over 30 motorcycles, as they shot sporadically to create tension before their victims away.

The attack came a week after terrorists attacked worshippers in a Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State, killing about 60 persons.
