…as Utomi, Faduri step down
Mr. Peter Obi, who resigned his membership of the People’s Democratic Party last week, on Monday emerged the presidential candidate of the Labour Party.
Obi had joined Labour Party after quitting PDP.
Obi’s emergence took place at the party’s Convention and presidential primary held in Asaba, Delta State.
Before Obi’s emergency, Professor Pat Utomi and another presidential aspirant of the party, 45-year-old Joseph Faduri had stepped down for him.
Utomi said he was stepping down for a younger aspirant with the capacity to effect the needed change in the Nigerian system.
