Over 700 First Bank of Nigeria Limited branches have been designated as sales points for the e-registration of candidates for the November/December 2013 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) as both institutions partner on driving excellence among youths in the nation.
The e-registration materials can be obtained over the counter at a cost of N9, 350 only till Wednesday, July 31, 2013. From Thursday, August 1 to Saturday, August 10, 2013 the registration materials will still be available at FirstBank, but will attract an additional charge arising from late registration fees.
According to FirstBank’s spokesperson, Mrs. Folake Ani-Mumuney, FirstBank has been a major player in youth empowerment and development and welcomes this partnership as another platform for promoting excellence in educational development in the country.
Ani-Mumuney said the Bank had since designed dedicated points across its social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter and YouTube) to ensure that prospective candidates for the WASSC (Private Candidates’) Examination receive up-to-date information on the sales of the e-registration materials.
“Our network of over 700 branches nationwide offers prospective candidates the opportunity to acquire the e-registration materials at locations close to them. The WAEC examination is widely regarded as the first step towards ensuring a solid academic foundation and the Bank is delighted to share this moment with the potential leaders of tomorrow,” she added.
