The main opposition People’s Democratic Party has officially announced the cost of nomination forms for its various National Working Committee positions.
This followed the formal commencement of the sale of forms for nomination into the offices.
Information released by the party shows that the chairmanship form sells for N5 million, while that for the posts of deputy national chairman and national secretary cost N3 million each.
Forms for the next grade of offices in the NWC, which include the national publicity secretary, national auditor, national financial secretary, national youth leader, national treasurer and national legal adviser, each costs N2 million.
Those aspiring to occupy other officers (deputies) offices are to pay N750, 000 each, according to the information.
It would be recalled that PDP zoned its national chairmanship to the northern part of Nigeria.
Below is a full distribution of the party’s zoning formula: the North is expected to fill the following offices: National Chairman; Deputy National Chairman (North); Deputy National Secretary; Deputy Publicity Secretary; Deputy Financial Secretary; National Organising and Mobilization Secretary; National Legal Adviser; Youth Leader; Treasurer; Deputy Auditor; and others.
