President Muhammadu Buhari has postponed his scheduled trip to London for a medical follow-up visit.
Femi Adesina, Buhari’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, announced this in a statement on Friday, the day the trip was scheduled to commence.
Adesina said the President would announce a new date for the rescheduled trip.
“The medical follow-up visit of President Muhammadu Buhari to The United Kingdom earlier scheduled for today, Friday, June 25, 2021, has been postponed.
“A new date will be announced in due course,” Adesina said.
Adesina had announced the planned medical trip on Thursday, saying the President would proceed on the journey on Friday (today).
“President Muhammadu Buhari will proceed to London, the United Kingdom on Friday, June 25, 2021, for a scheduled medical follow-up,” he wrote in a statement on Thursday.
