Nigeria has signed a Bilateral Air Service Agreement (BASA) with the United States, India, Morocco as well as Rwanda, the government announced on Tuesday.
Minister of aviation, Hadi Sirika, announced this on his verified twitter handle, @hadisirika.
“I am glad to announce that Mr. President, on behalf of Nigeria, has signed the instruments of ratification of the bilateral air service agreement between Nigeria and USA, India, Morocco as well as Rwanda,” Sirika tweeted.
Bilateral Air Service Agreement makes it possible for a country’s airlines to enjoy privileges in countries with which their home country has such an agreement.
