President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday announced his approval for the appointments of chairmen and members of the Governing Councils and Boards of a number of federal parastatals.
According to Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator Anyim Pius Anyim the Nigeria Boundary Commission would be chaired by Dr. Yunusa Adamu Dangwani while its members would be Hajiya Mamma Ibrahim Hassan Lau, Abe Joseph Aku, Chief Adebowale Atanda Niyi Salako, Chief Ndidi Okereke and Anselem Igo-Goin.
Nigerian Shippers Council will be chaired by General Salihu Ibrahim while Alhaji Sani Dauda, Alhaji Bala Buhari and Hon. Paul Anikwe will serve as members.
The board of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) will be chaired by Chief Gordon Bozimo while Mr. Domnic G. Yahaya, Prof. Stella Attoe and Nnamdi Anyaechie will serve as members.
Chief Patrick Ogbu will chair the board of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) while Bashir Samaila Ahmed, Daniel Bwala, Ahmed M. Agina, Hon. Dele Fagoriola, Mrs. Rose Okoronkwo and Engr. Billy Etuk are its members.
Senator Walid Jibrin will serve as Chairman of Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC). The National Lottery Regulation Commission has Mr. Damian Dodo (SAN) as chairman while Mohammed Saleh Annur, Alhaji Hassan Abba, Chief Vincent Aondaakaa, Chief Greg Madu, Mr. Ighonoba Onyeluka and Hon. Olugbenga A. Adewusi are members.
The Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron, has Chief Mike Abiotomere as chairman while Abdulmumini Yunusa, Chief Oliver Agbasoga and Mr. Reuben Aggo will serve as members.
Alhaji Kawu Baraje will chair the Board of the Nigerian Railway Corporation while Hon. Iquo Minima, Sq. Ldr M Ashu (Rtd), Hon. Ibrahim Mohammed Gimi and Emma Ogbu are some of its members.
National Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC) has Dr. Stephen Dike as chairman while Gen. Suleiman Wali [rtd], Malam Ahmed I. Tsauri, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Ningi and Iliyasu Adamu Kazaure will serve as members.
National Teachers Institute (NTI) will be chaired by Barr. Ali Sa’ad B/Kudu while Dr. Eddy Olafeso Ebiye Abigail Jonesare is a Member.
The National Veterinary Research Institute (NVRI) will be chaired by Dr. Isaac Edoja while Nicholas Elyas Mshalla, Dr. Ado Yusuf Member, Yusuf Muktar and Pastor Yusuf Alfa are all members.
National Agric Extension and Research Liaison, has ABU, Moses Ngbale as chairman while Chief Basil Osoukun, Dr. (Mrs.) Jane Onwugbuta-Enyi, Alhaji Dauda Birma, and Zubairu Saluhu Namama are members.
Charles S. Ogwu will chair the Institute for Agricultural Research and Training, OAU, Ife, while Aminu Baba, Tselim Igbalaiye, Nwakanma Diala-Uka, Barr. Felix Alari will serve as members.
