The opposition coalition comprising the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), and the All Nigerian People’s Party (ANPP) minus the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) who formed the All Progressive Congress (APC), have promised to use the opportunity offered by their planned meeting with officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to directly take up the issue with INEC boss, Attahiru Jega.
The meeting, which opens Tuesday March 19, 2013, at INEC headquarters in Abuja, is part of efforts by the election-management body to hold consultations with all the remaining 25 political parties in the country.
However, the invitation sent to all the registered political parties did not include the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) ostensibly due to the internal crisis rocking the party. INEC said that APGA will not be attending the meeting as it has not been invited.
