President Muhammadu Buhari has on Tuesday inaugurated the Abuja-Kaduna commercial train operation.
The rail way flagged off full commercial operations after the president inaugurated the long awaited rail way project.
The modification phase of the project started with the signing of the contract for the construction of Abuja (Idu) to Kaduna (Rigasa) rail line in 2009.
Mr President said the freight between the Federal Capital Territory and Kaduna State would provide considerable cheap and safe movement of passengers serve as a major catalyst for industrialisation and generation of employment.
There were Senior government officials present at the inauguration.
