The Enugu-East zonal chapter of the All Progressive Congress, APC, has suspended its chairman, Chief Anike Nwoga, over alleged anti party activities.

The sanction on Nwoga by the APC was announced on Monday by the zonal secretary, Hon. Chuks Owo, during the zonal executive committee meeting held at the Enugu east secretariat of the party.

According to the party, “Nwoga has been engaging in all manner of anti party activities, including going to the press to castigate the leadership of the party at all levels.”

Owo added that: “Nwoga, has been bringing the image of our great party to disrepute for a long time, and he lacks discipline.

“He has been disrespectful to the leadership of the party in the state and national level.”

However,he zonal secretary disclosed that a three-man committee had been set up by the party to investigate all the allegations levelled against the party chieftain.

Huhuonline. com gathered that motion for his suspension was moved by the zonal legal adviser, Barrister Jones Ede Anigbogu, while Enugu east council chairman of the party, Hon. Michael Onyeka seconded the motion.

However, when Huhuonline. com  contacted Nwoga, he described the reported suspension as an exercise in futility. He maintained that the said meeting was illegal and the power to convene the Enugu East zonal meeting resided with him.
