As part of efforts to provide improved services to in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) on Thursday announced toll-free lines that residents can call for security matter in the city.

Reeling out the telephone numbers to newsmen in Abuja, Senior Special Assistant to FCT Minister on Information Management System, Hajiya Jamilah Tangaza said the measure will go a long way in tackling security challenges in the territory.

The six Etisalat toll-free lines would, according to her, enable residents and members of the public have unhindered access to the administration and bare their minds on the services rendered by the administration.

“People can now have unhindered access to FCT Administration on any issue that would improve on our services and security matters on any of these lines,” she said.

The numbers secured from Etisalat are 0809 993 6312, 0809 993 6313, 0809 993 6314; 0803 123 0330, 0803 123 0332 and 0803 123 0331.

Tangaza maintained that apart from security issues, the toll-free lines would create a robust communication between the administration and members of the public, while calling on residents to take full advantage of the service.

Tangaza also emphasised the need for the public to use the lines to provide useful information that will enhance good governance in the Federal Capital Territory Administration in line with the Transformation Agenda of President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.
