The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended the immediate past governor of Benue State, Gabriel Suswam over allegations of corruption.Suswam had been on the watch list of the anti-graft agency since he left office as governor on 29th May with series of allegations, among which corruption stands out prominently, hanging on his neck.
The Benue Watch, a group of individuals with the interest of the state, had petitioned the commission listing out allegations against Suswam almost the same time the current administration in the state declared it was probing him.
He was still being held by the anti-graft agency at the time of this report.

Spokesman of the EFCC, Wilson Uwajuren, confirmed it but said Suswam was only invited for questioning.
