Senate Minority Leader, Enyinnaya Abaribe, who resigned from the People’s Democratic Party earlier on Friday, has switched to the All Progressives Grand Alliance.
The Senator declared this to reporters in Umuahia on Friday, as confirming that he has formally joined APGA.
The one-time Deputy Governor of Abia State also confirmed that he had aborted his quest for the Governorship of the State, but will instead seek re-election into the Senate in 2023.
Abaribe earlier on Friday renounced his membership of the PDP as well as his position as the Minority Leader in the Senate.
He wrote letters to the ward chairman of the PDP in the Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State, as well as the Senate President, and the chairman of the PDP.
