Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Minister of Aviation, was arrested on Tuesday by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in Lagos.
He arrest was said to be in connection with the forgery of medical records by the former minister, sources said.
Fani-Kayode is on trial with a former minister of finance, Nenadi Usman, and one other person on a 17-count of criminal conspiracy, fraud, and money laundering involving the sum of N4.9 billion.
He was recently fined N200,000 for being absent from the court for the trial.
He returned to the ruling All Progressives Congress in September, a move that earned him opprobrium from the public, most of whom were disappointed for the act after he had said so many negative things about the party.
