The bandits who kidnapped the students of Greenfield University, Kaduna, have threatened to kill the remaining students in their custody, if their demands are not met by Tuesday.
The gang kidnapped at least 23 students including a staff of the private university, located along the Kaduna-Abuja Highway were abducted from the school on April 20, 2021, and demanded N800 million ransom.
Their demand was not met, which prompted them to kill three of the students. They later followed this with the killing of two more a few days later.
The leader of the group, Sani Jalingo, spoke to the Hausa Service of the Voice of America, and demanded a ransom of N100 million and ten motorcycles.
He said that the families of the remaining students had so far paid N55 million to the group.
He insisted that if the N100m and the 10 Boko Haram motorcycles demanded were not provided on Tuesday, trucks would be used to evacuate the lifeless bodies of the remaining students.
According to him, 17 of the abducted students, comprising 15 females and two males are in their custody.
