Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the 2020 Edo State Governorship Election, has conceded defeat and congratulated the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party.

“Election is not a do or die affair and I’m happy it was a peaceful process, ” he added.
The Independent National Electoral Commission on Sunday afternoon declared Governor Godwin Obaseki, candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, winner of the election that held on Saturday.
Obaseki polled 307,955 votes, to beat Ize-Iyam, who got 223,619 votes, according to INEC.
Ize-Iyamu had been quoted earlier as saying that he was studying the results before conceding defeat.
