Media advisory issued by Nigeria`s Presidency,Saturday, disclosed that South West Nigeria took the lion share of the appointments made so far by President Muhammadu Buhari since assumption of office on 29 May 2015.

According to a list of 157 appointments provided by the Presidency, South West Nigerians took 38, followed by the North West, Buhari’s region, which took 30.North East and South East took 23 slots each, while North Central took 21 and South South 22.

The figures and names were provided in response to allegations that President Buhari had favoured the Northern part of the country in the appointments announced so far.

According to the Presidency the South of Nigeria accounted for 83 of the posts while the North took 74.

However, fact check by huhuonline.com reveals the contrary,the supposed full list is not so full afterall.The only thing it is full of is omissions and errors.

Our findings shows that  names of twenty appointees from north and seven from the south are missing for the presidency`s full list.

The missing names,their respective portfolio are as follows:

1)Mansur Liman, Director-General of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, (FRCN),who hails from Daura,Katsina State

2)Yakubu Ibn Muhammed, Director General of the Nigerian Television Authority, hails from Bauchi State

3) Ismael Ahmed,Senior Special Assistant, SSA to the President on Social Investment Programmes,hails from Kano State.

4) Ibrahim Bapetel Hassan, SSA Policy Research and Monitoring, hails from Adamawa State;

5) Shaban Sharada, Personal Assistant on Broadcast Media (Radio)

6) Nasir Saidu Adhama, Special Assistant on Youths & Students Affairs; hails from Kano

7)Abdulrahman Bappa Yola, Special Assistant in the Office of the Vice President; hails from Kano

8)Bashir Ahmed, Personal Assistant on New Media, hails from Kano.

9)Mamman Amadu, Director-General, Bureau of Public Procurement;

10)Ahmed Bobboi, Executive Secretary, Petroleum Equalization Fund

11) Sa’adiya Faruq, Federal Commissioner, National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons.

12) Abubakar Bello, NEXIM, CEO

13) Usman Yusuf,DG of National Health Insurance Scheme,

14)Sani Aliyu, Director-General, National Agency for the Control of AIDS,

15)Sani Aliyu, Director General, Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA)

16) Nurudeen Rafindadi, Managing Director, Federal Roads Maintenance Agency, FERMA,hails from Katsina;

17) Abdullahi Attah,Chairman, Board of the FCT Internal Revenue Service.

18) Joseph Ari, Director-General, Industrial Training Fund; hails from Plateau state

19)) Emmanuel Jimme, Managing Director, Nigeria Export Processing Zones Authority, hails from Benue

20) Muhammed Abdullah, CEO,NDLEA, hails from Adamawa State

Other appointees left out of the Presidency`s full list, but, who are not from the north are;

1)Bayo Somefun, Managing Director, Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund.

2) Luci Ajayi, Executive Secretary, Lagos International Trade Fair Management Board; and

3)Echezona Ezeanolue, Executive Director of National Primary Healthcare Development Agency

4)Babatunde Salako, Director-General of National Institute for Medical Research from Ogun State;

5)Chikwe Ihekweazu,coordinator of National Centre for Disease Control

6) Simbi Wabote, Executive Secretary, Nigerian Content Monitoring Board

7) Aboloma Anthony, Director-General, Standards Organisation of Nigeria

In all, the North of Nigeria has more representations than the south. Whereas the North accounted for 94 of the posts, South has 90.
