Attempt by the ruling All Progressive Party (APC) to douse tension created by the 80-days health hiatus of President Mohammadu Buhari may have fallen apart. As sources familiar with surroundings of the Presidential Villa (Aso Rock) have disputed the authenticity of the photograph being advertised as proof that the President is hearty and hale.
Speaking to our correspondent,former Presidetial aides,insist that the picture credited to Bayo Omoboriowo is an old picture, which was taken inside the Presidential Villa, during Ramadan.
“All the drinks (Bottled water, Coke, Apple juice and Orange juice) on the dinning table are Nigerian products and Nigerian-made.
Did the Governors and APC Chairman take all those drinks along with them to London when they went to see the President? They inquired.
Asked if they were aware that London was only six hours from Nigeria – that one can easily find Nigerian Products in Peckham, London.
A former Presidential aide retorted, “This is the Presidential Villa, I know that surrounding, I have used the mirror behind the President to adjust myself, after meals at the villa, on several occasion”
“They said they had lunch with the President, but did you notice there were neither plate, cup nor food in front of the President?”
“This deception must stop, Nigerians deserves better, they have a right to know the health status of their President.” the source added.
As previously reported, Femi Adesina, Sunday, issued a press release that select governors had visited the ailing President.
In his words, “By this visit to London, the merchants of lies have been put out of business and Nigerians will not buy the garbage they have been selling. All those who look up to fake news can find better use for their time,”
According to the statement, the Governors who had lunch with the President includes: Umaru Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa; Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna; Yahaya Bello of Kogi.
Also in attendance was the APC National Chairman, Chief John Oyegun.
However, medical experts privy to President Buhari health status told huhuonline.com that President Buhari may never recover fully to govern Nigeria. They opine that he can not cope with the stress associated with the office.
It would recalled that weeks before President Buhari `s recent medical vacation, he had stopped attending council meetings, which sometimes are very intensive.
Meanwhile, the President’s handlers have resolved to manage him until 2019, to avoid handing over to the Vice President, who is from the South.
The handlers led by the chief of staff are diametrically opposed to handling over power to Prof.Osinbajo. The President’s hand over letter, which was sent to the Senate specifically referred to Osinbajo as coordinator of government.
