The State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Plateau State chapter,  Chief Damishi Sango has on Friday said he would take legal actions against Senator Joshua Dariye if the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) fails to declare his seat at the Senate vacant.

Damishi Sango, while addressing newsmen in Jos, insisted that the recent defection of Senator Joshua Dariye to the All Progressive Congress (APC) was criminal and unconstitutional.

“It is criminal to carry the mandate of a party to another party. So, Dariye’s defection from PDP to APC is not only criminal, but unconstitutional,” Sango said.

“Dariye rode on PDP’s back to become a senator, but he worked for the APC during the last general elections.

“All this while, we knew he is PDP in the day time, but APC at night; so, we were not surprised when he defected.”

Dariye, a former governor of the state had in a letter to the Senate, read by President of the Senate, Dr Bukola Saraki, at plenary few weeks ago, announced his defection to the APC.
