The National Population Commission (NPC) in a statement by Mr. Simon Otene, Director, Public Affairs has announced the cancellation of its recent recruitment and replacement exercise over non-adherence to extant regulation.
Otene who declared this in Abuja, explained that the decision to cancel the exercise was taken by the Board of the agency.
He said, “The Board of the National Population Commission at its emergency meeting on 20th September 2016 cancelled in its totality the recent recruitment exercise in the Commission.
“This followed the recommendations of the Special Committee set up to review the exercise.
“It will be recalled that the Commission recently suspended the recruitment/replacement exercise due to non-adherence to extant regulations and set up a committee to review its procedures.
“The Commission hereby regrets any inconveniences caused by the cancellation. “
