Following their recent attacks on Agip, NNPC and Chevron petroleum facilities in the Niger Delta region, the Niger Delta Avengers have announced yet another attack.
The militant group announced on its Twitter page that it has attacked yet another Chevron oil facility.
“At 1:00am today, the @NDAvengers blow up Well RMP 20 belonging to Chevron located 20 meters away from Dibi flow Stattion in Warri North LGA,” the group tweeted.
Niger Delta Avengers Warn MEND
Also, the Niger Delta Avengers have warned Nigerians to disregard the statements and threats given by the Movement for Emancipation of Niger Delta (MEND).
In a statement posted by the group on its website, the group described MEND as a “Political Sidekick”.
The group also reiterated its mandate to liberate the Niger Delta.

MEND YOUR CRIMINAL DAYS ARE OVER.
“We appeal to the general public and all sane minds on the activities of Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) to disregards all purported statements and misplaced threat emanating from disbanded criminal elements like the so-called MEND (Movement For the Emancipation of The Niger Delta) that are political sidekicks and desperations from Gov. Adams Oshiomhole of Edo state, Mr. Timipre Silva and their political paymasters to hold their political party to the jugular of the affairs of the Niger Delta Region.
That our struggle is focused on the liberation of the People of Niger Delta from decades of divisive rule and exclusion. We are watching keenly their regretful efforts at rebranding and regrouping criminal elements in the region for their short political gains and territories. The NDA is unperturbed, we have mandate that is clearly a departure of those old tactics of the defunct so-called MEND that was indulged in kidnapping, hostage taking, Sea piracy, illegal oil bunkering, bank robberies and social crimes, the likes of Boyloafs, Ateke Toms, were associated to in their days in the name struggle.
The wind of change in the Niger Delta struggle has come, we are are young, smart, and focused Niger deltans. Our mandate is to liberate the Niger Delta people; we don’t run after pipeline contracts.”

Niger Delta Avengers Are Faceless – Ijaw Youth Council
Following an emergency meeting on Wednesday, the Ijaw National Youth Council (IYC) worldwide, said there is no militant group called Niger-Delta Avengers anywhere in the region, and called on the Nigeria government to settle the issue of under development in the region.
Speaking to journalists in Effurun, The Group’s president Comrade Udengs Eradiri said: “We don’t know Avengers militants, but militancy in the region will be a thing of the past if the Federal Government takes action to settle all issues of under development in the area.”
Eradiri said that renewed attacks on oil facilities was as a result of long years of neglect of the Niger – Delta region by successive governments.
While noting that the Niger-Delta region had lost power at the National level, Comrade Eradiri said the IYC was the only group standing to fight the Niger-Delta struggles, and warned that the Federal Government should stop playing politics with the issue of Niger – Delta struggle and face the issue raised by the so called Niger – Delta Avengers and other agitators.
He called for the immediate commencement of academic and other activities in the Maritime University of Okerekoko by announcing date for the takeoff of the University, adding that it will be the first step to resolving the Niger-Delta crisis.
