The All Progressives Congress,(APC) Delta State chapter witnessed a major boost on Tuesday as major front line politicians and opposition leaders in the state officially joined the party.
The defectors include former governorship candidate of the Labour Party, Chief Great Ogboru and one time speaker of the state House of Assembly, Engr. Victor Ochei.
The party officially approved their membership at a meeting of the state APC executive committee, including leaders and other stakeholders of the party held in Orhuwhorun, Udu Council area of the state on Tuesday, the party said the admission of the new comers into the party was a major boost towards wrestling the state from the ruling PDP in 2019.
The leader of the APC in the state, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor who spoke at the event, urged members of the party to adopt the new members with open mindedness and provide a conducive environment for them to contribute to the growth of the party in the state.
