Every audit begins with two big lies; “We are glad to be here (the auditor) and we are glad you are here (the CEO/CFO)”. Within those two lies are grains and salts that make up the ingredients for either a genuine or fake audit. Either way the auditors will get paid by the company that hired him, but the investors and employees may find difficulty gaining any benefit from such arrangement. Again the position of the investors and the employees or their families is essentially the same as the athletes and the families along with their coaches.

Academically, these people are collectively referred to as the governed and in a democratic dispensation, the governed choose its leaders. In Nigeria, specifically on sports issues, the governed are muscled, powerless, intimidated and threatened for raising any brow on any issue. Of course, some of those governed chose to be gagged for the sake of some “Soloo Management” contract or any other agency agreement by the some leaders. The idea is for those brainwashed with such an illusory contract that is illegal ab initio is to suppress any dissent by any other governed by using social media.

In fact, this issue manifested itself in broad daylight as the World Athletics Indoor Championship comes to a close as Nigeria’s team was disgraced yet again. A boy this writer was introduced to by his coach Lati Obisesan around 2006 that he came from Ajegunle slum and that this writer should allow him to proceed to Ilorin Beijing Olympic camp organized by this writer with his own funds. This individual is Ovie Fred Agbaje, a young 49sec. 400m runner at the time.

This boy and several others (about 15 athletes) including girls, were housed in a lower half of a 10bedroom house at Komeji, Ilorin. They were fed, giving carton of milk, allowances and coached by Mr. Momah for about two years. Shoes and wears were issued to them. These funding’s were out of the generosity of this writer for almost two years until most of them were invited to National Camp in Shagamu by late Sunday Bada while some of them abscond abroad prior to the Beijing Olympics. It was disheartening to now hear about the writing of Ovie Fred Agbaje, “this writer 2006-2008 Olympics camp was inconvenient for me and the N6,000 per month for almost two years allowance cannot buy pure water.” Another brainwashed athlete: Stanley Gbagbeke wrote “What have you done to help Nigeria athletes Prince Rashid?” Funny enough, Stanley Gbabeke and Ovie Fred Agbaje were in the same conversation, yet Stanley cannot tell if this writer ever assisted an athlete. Is this not lack of education or better yet, illiteracy or is he simply a dumb fool?

The sports Minister posts a question previously on why stakeholders or former athletes don’t fund current athletes, unfortunately, the sports Minister get his answers from Ovie Fred Agbaje and Stanley Gbabeke above. Mr. Dalung, no individual will touch these brainwashed athletes with any of their funds and when they are done with sports, God help them. This is a lesson for you to learn that some of these kids cannot be assisted.

Recent Competions

Nigeria wrestlers are on course to be the nation’s darling at the Olympics for qualifying several individuals with a shot at the event. Their chances are brighter than other sports, but sports lovers are hopeful that football can be a Cinderella story, but unfortunately basketball may not be so lucky.

Talking about football at this stage, when the national team faces Egypt in few days may be a distraction, but Oliseh and the football federation will head to court of arbitration soon while the leadership tussle remains out there.

Athletics will sing the same 2012 London Olympics tune going by the outcome of Eric “the fool” Campbell’s led team to the World Indoor Championship in Portland, USA even with smuggled-in mercenary called Tameka Jameson on the women relay team. Mr. Dalung, are you sure you know what you are doing with these incompetent Eric Campbell and Angie Taylor? You are reading a Bolaji Abdullahi playbook that brought shame to Nigeria in 2012. Bolaji Abdullahi hired those people now wrecking our chances.

Innocent Egbunike, Tony Osheku and several other coaches are willing Nigerians ready to serve, but it’s getting too late. In fact your imposing those incompetent (without degree) duo to give instructions to Masters’ degree holders in national camp is the most insulting gesture ever and it is foolish.

Alas! Sports industry stakeholders wants Mr. Dalung sacked.

I rest
