Former Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshall Alex Badeh has been granted bail in the sum of two billion Naira and two sureties.
In a ruling at the Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday, Justice Okon Abang held that the two sureties must provide a bail bond of one billion Naira each and also be owners of landed properties in any part of the Federal Capital Territory.
According to Abang, the sureties must provide original title deed of their landed properties along with two passport photographs with sworn affidavit before the court.
Badeh who has been charged with 10 counts of money laundering, corruption and criminal breach of trust, is to remain in prison custody of until the fulfillment of his bail conditions.
The judge fixed 14th March for commencement of his trial.
