The Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Monday, moved the meetings of National Caucus of the party earlier scheduled for the weekend
In a statement released on Monday and signed by Chief Olisa Metuh, National Publicity Secretary, the party revealed that the shift was due to requests by “critical stakeholders”.

“In view of requests by critical stakeholders and leaders of our great party, the National Working Committee (NWC) has approved the shifting of the meetings of key statutory organs of the party earlier scheduled for this week to next week,” the statement read.
“In the new schedule, the meeting of the National Caucus of the party has been shifted to Monday, February 15th, 2016 at 7pm. In the same vein, the meeting of the Board of Trustees (BoT) will now hold
“On the morning of Tuesday, February 16th while the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting will hold at 2pm on the same Tuesday, February 16th, 2016.
Huhuonline.com gathered that the recent rancor amongst some leading members party forced the shift. Alhaji Ahmed Gulak had obtained a court order sacking Uche Secondis as Chairman of PDP and declared himself as chairman. Gulak has also instituted a court proceeding challenging the party`s decision to hold Stakeholders meeting.In addition, former Senate President Ken Nnamani, who single handedly scuttled President Obasanjo third term bid, resigned his membership of the party.
