President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Muhammad Mustapha Abdallah as the new Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
He now replaces Mrs Roli Bode-George, wife of Chief Bode George who had headed the agency in acting capacity since the retirement of Mallam Ahmadu Giade.
Abdallah’s appointment was backdated to 11th January 2016 for a five-year renewable tenure.
A retired Lieutenant Colonel in the Nigeria Army, Abdallah passed through the Nigeria Defence Academy earning a certificate in education in 1977.
He later obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in American Politics and Government from Sam Houston State University, Huntville, Texas, USA in 1989.
He also has an M. A. In Public Administration, LLB and LLM degrees from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 2005 and 2011 respectively.
He earned a Bachelor of Law from the Nigeria Law School in 2006.
