The anti-corruption war is currently at the doorstep of former Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Customs Service, Mr Abdullahi Inde Dikko.
Security operatives and men of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ( EFCC) who arrived in two trucks on Friday, have laid siege on the former Comptroller-General’s home on Ahmed Musa Street, Jabi, Abuja.
The security operatives arrived the house of the former customs boss in Toyota Hiace trucks with registration numbers RSH 555 AB and BWA 645 GA to search Dikko’s house, though he is currently said to be out of town.
No one is currently allowed to leave or get into the residence.It is speculated that Dikko is being investigated for huge corrupt practices that took over the Customs Service while he worked there.
Dikko became Comptroller-General of Customs in August 2009. He resigned his appointment in August, 2015, four months after President Muhammadu Buhari became president.
