Prince Abubakar Audu, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the just concluded governorship election in Kogi State, has died.
Audu, a former governor of the state, who was ahead in the just concluded election, died of heart attack according to sources within the APC.
Prince Audu was said to have suffered a heart attack after the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, which had earlier announced all the results, later declared the election as inconclusive.
Family sources said Audu died before help could come his way. He would be buried tomorrow morning according to Islamic rites.
