Minister-to-be have been told by President Muhammadu Buhari to observe the rule of law and shun impunity in their conduct of government activities.
Buhari issued the reminder on Friday at the Banquet Hall of the State House in Abuja at the beginning of the two-day presidential retreat for the 36 ministers-to-be.
Speaking at the retreat themed “Delivering Change: From Percepts to Practice”, Buhari urged the ministers-to-be to count themselves privileged to have been chosen to serve among millions of Nigerians.
He noted that the retreat was aimed at getting them acquainted with the direction of his administration. He reminded them of his campaign promises of fighting corruption and insecurity as well as revamping the economy.
President Buhari also charged his ministers to work together as a team.
