The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called an emergency meeting of its national caucus to discuss issues relating to the recent judgements of Election Petition Tribunals which have affected the party.
A statement by Chief Olisa Metuh, the PDP National Publicity Secretary, on Monday said the meeting would hold on 29th October 29 in Abuja.
Part of the discussions at the meeting would focus on the “onslaught against the PDP and its candidates in the last general elections by the All Progressives Congress (APC).”
The statement said the meeting will also focus on “the unrelenting schemes by the APC and its Federal Government to use some unpatriotic elements in the judiciary to advance their plot to take over states won by the PDP” including Rivers, Akwa-Ibom, Delta, Taraba and Abia.
