The Election Petition Tribunal handling the case against the electoral victory of Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, has nullified the election that brought him in as governor.
The ruling came on Saturday with the tribunal ordering another election within 90 days.
The All Progressives Congress and its candidate in the April 11, 2015 election, Dr. Dakuku Peterside, filed the petition against Wike’s election.
The petitioners challenged the election of Governor Nyesom Wike of the Peoples Democratic Party.
On Friday, the Justice Mohammed Ambrosa-led tribunal announced that the judgement would be delivered on Saturday.
