The Adamawa Government on Friday announced that it had budgeted the sum of N200 million to pay prayer warriors who would take a divine angle in seeking an end to insurgency in the state.

The prayer warriors are expected to pray against the Boko Haram and all other forms of insecurity in the state.

This disclosure was made by Alhaji Abdurahman Jimeta, Chief of Staff, Adamawa State, at a media chat aired on the Adamawa State Television in Yola.

He explained that the money was sourced from the state and Local Governments joint account.

According to him, “we have earmarked N200 million for prayers to seek for Allah’s intervention in tackling the Boko Haram menace and other insecurity challenges threatening the stability of the state.”

He further explained that a part of the governor’s security vote is to be spent on assisting local vigilantes security operatives in the state.

While appealing for support from the people of the state, he also said the government had made an order of fertilisers worth over N3 billion for the 2015 farming season.
