The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, congratulated them on behalf of the National Assembly.
Saraki also urged them to make the fight against Boko Haram and oil theft their focus.
The service chiefs who were screened and confirmed for appointment include Maj-Gen. Abayomi Olonishakin as Chief of Defence Staff; Maj-Gen. Tukur Buratai as Chief of Army Staff; Rear Adm. Ibok-Ete Ibas as Chief of Naval Staff, Air Vice-Marshal Sadique Abubakar as Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice-Marchal Monday Morgan Chief of Defence Intelligence and retired Maj-Gen.
