After about two weeks in the hands of her abductors, the regent of Akungba Akoko town in Ondo State, Princess Mojisola Omosowon, on Tuesday regained freedom.
The regent, who was abducted on 3rd June along the Owo-Akure Road while on her way to attend an event held at the Federal University of Technology, Akure, was rescued by officials of the Nigerian Police in Edo State.
She was rescued with a driver sent to pick her for the event and other victim.
The police did not give details of the rescue operation, but it was learnt that the regent was on her way back to her town at the time of this report.
