After President Goodluck Jonathan’s handing over on 29th May, Hajia Amina, wife of Nigeria’s Vice President, Namadi Sambo, would be returning to school to acquire more knowledge.

She announced this on Saturday at an event organised by the Coalition of Nigerian Muslim Women at the National Mosque, Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city.

She however refused to mention which institution she would be attending on the course she would read, but simply said while in school, she would always make herself available.

The graduate of Political Science from the Bayero University, Kano, also used the opportunity of the event to call for prayers for the incoming administration of President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari.

She appealed for understanding where the demands of her academic pursuit would not allow her honour some invitations adding: “I will like to continue to leave my doors open in case you will call on me.

“In case I say I am having exams (I am going back to school); so, do not be offended, I might be studying, but be assured that I will always be with you.

She also used the event to disclose that the first Islamic Library in Nigeria, located in Kaduna State, would soon be inaugurated.

She appealed to Muslim women to donate books and other such materials.

Confirming that the out-going administration of President Jonathan may have unconsciously offended people in some ways, she appealed for forgiveness from the Muslim women and thanked them for their cooperation with the administration while it lasted.

“I want to assure you that on my part, in my own little way, I will continue to be of service to humanity.

“I will continue to help the less-privileged in the society, the downtrodden, the physically challenged, and most importantly, to my deen.

“Please, always pray for the incoming administration,” she said.

The group were honouring her for uplifting humanity.
