Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi has refused being accredited for the elections in his Ubima ward, Ikwerre local government area.
Amaechi’s reason for the refusal was that the result sheets were nowhere to be found among items the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) provided for the exercise.
Former Chief of Staff, Government House and candidate of the All Progressive Congress, (APC) for the Obio Akpor federal constituency in the state also complained about the missing result sheets in all the 17 wards in the local government area.
For former governor of the state, Dr Peter Odili, the grouse was failure of the card reader machines in Ward 14, Unit 25, Ogba Egbert Ndoni local government area.
