The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released results of candidates who sat for the Computer Based Test (CBT) 2015 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations.
Registrar of JAMB Prof. Dibu Ojerinde said on Thursday that about 895, 000 results were released.
He stated the figure during the inspection of proceedings of exams at designated centres by the Minister of States for Education, Prof. Viola Onwuliri.
Ojerinde noted during the visit that only 895, 000 results released because the remaining results belong to candidates who did not give correct data of themselves, such as phone number.
“The results are already on the net (website) for those who have written the exams. They should use their registration number and log on to the JAMB website and get the result, but the results that are not ready cannot be joined with the available ones,” Ojerinde said.
“We hope to have less days next year because Mr. President is building centres in all states of the federation particularly in the local governments which will be ready for use next year.”
Onwuliri expressed satisfaction with the CBT examination which makes result available two hours after the candidate finishes his or her exams.
She said that hitches around marking and grading of the exam results have now been conquered with the CBT format.
“The CBT is part of government efforts to make Nigeria part of the global community, achieving excellence in education in terms of access and quality,” Onwuliri said.
