It is no longer news that the two dominant political parties in Lagos State, Nigeria’s commercial capital located in the western part of the country, are the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The fascinating twist about the governorship race in the state however, is that the struggle for the control of the state is not even between the candidates of the two parties, but their god-fathers.

He believes this is one of the last chances for his party in Lagos State. He further believes that if the PDP could win Lagos, it means it would be easy to “overrun” the entire south-west using political might.
George believes that Tinubu would do everything to bring him down if his party takes over government again in Lagos and at the centre.
To underscore his resolve against the perceived soaring political influence of Tinubu, George recently said he would leave the country if APC takes over government especially from the PDP at the centre in the forthcoming elections.
