The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the President Goodluck Jonathan Campaign Organisation on Tuesday dissociated themselves from the advertisement sponsored by Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State which many have likened to a death wish against the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Muhammadu Buhari.
This is as Fayose declared that he has no apology for sponsoring such advert in some national dailies.
The Director of Media and Publicity of the Jonathan Campaign Organisation, Femi Fani-Kayode, while exonerating the PDP and the President, said Fayose was on his own and should take responsibility for what he does.
According to Fani-Kayode, the PDP and President Jonathan believes in respect, dignity and sanctity of human life adding that a person’s age does not indicate that the person would die before younger people.
To him, Fayose expressed a personal opinion, which he is entitled to adding that “Governor Ayo Fayose is a distinguished leader of our party. A democratically elected Governor and someone we have great respect and affection for and he released this advert in his own name.
