Islamic extremists, terrorising the northern parts of Nigeria, Boko Haram has once again released another video in which the threatened to intensify their terror in the region.
The new video, which was released to journalists on saturday, showed gunmen hacking down civilians lying face down in a hall, one of the gunmen, saying the people are being killed because they are “infidels” or non-believers.
In the video, the bodies, mostly adult men, on the floor were so many that the gunmen could hardly find a space to stand other than on the dead bodies.
“We have made sure the floor of this hall is turned red with blood, and this is how it is going to be in all future attacks and arrests of infidels,” the spokesman for the terror group said in the video.
“From now, killing, slaughtering, destructions and bombing will be our religious duty anywhere we invade.”
The video of the terror groups gruesome killing is coming two days after fleeing villagers reported that the extremists are rounding up elderly people and killing them in two schools in Gwoza, in northeast Nigeria.
The setting of the latest video appears to be a school, a long hall furnished with bunk beds which the leader said is in Bama, a town 60 kilometers (40 miles) north of Gwoza.
In the video, the group’s spokesman maintained that the prophet Mohammed advised that prisoners should be held, not killed, but he quickly added that it is not the right time to keep prisoners.
“That is why we will continue to see that the grounds are crimsoned with the flowing blood of prisoners,” he said.
He added that some of those killed may call themselves Muslims, but are considered infidels by Boko Haram, a Sunni Jihadi group that imposes strict Shariah law.
Boko Haram has killed thousands of people since the insurgency began about five years ago. Over 1million people have also been internally displaced as a result of the terrorists’ activity.
