The impeached former Governor of Adamawa State, Murtala Nyako, has said the planned probe of his administration by the acting Governor Alhaji Ahmadu Fintiri, is a shoddy attempt to discredit his administration.
Nyako made the observation in a press statement signed by his director of press and publicity Malam Ahmad Sajoh on Wednesday.
“To say Nyako left a liability of N82 billion is to say the least, ridiculous,” Sajoh said in the press statement. “How much did the state get as income over the period? It is not even half of the amount quoted.”
Nyako was impeached by the Adamawa State House of Assembly, while his deputy, James Ngilari voluntarily resigned before the house could impeach him alongside his boss on 15th July.
