An explosive was detonated on Monday afternoon at the Kano School of Health Technology along Gida Murtala–BUK Road in the heart of the city.
The improvised explosive device went off at 2pm, while the school was in session.
Magaji Majiya, spokesperson of the Kano State Police, confirmed that the incidence, but failed to give number of casualties.
However, sources in the area told that there are fears that the bomb explosion have killed scores of students and residents.
