Following the bomb blast killing at least eight people at the School of Hygiene, Kano State on Monday, the state Governor, Rabi’u Kwankwaso has promised that government would take care of the medical bills of students injured in the explosion.

Kwankwaso made the promise while visiting scene of the incident, sympathizing with the victims while also condemning the attack on the innocent students.

“School is the last place to attack by any sensible person,” Kwankwaso said. “This is an act of criminality meant to kill innocent people without a cause.”

Condoling with the families of those who lost their lives in the explosion, the governor asked the ministry of health to keep a watchful eye on the treatment of the injured student on admission at the Murtala Muhammed Specialist Hospital to ensure their speedy recovery.

Kwankwaso thanked the security agencies for their prompt action and professionalism in responding to the situation, promising that the government would continue to work with security agencies to bring an end to the attacks. He urged Kano residents to cooperate with the security agencies and pray for peace and stability in the country.
