Sources have revealed that former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo has met with people close to Boko Haram in a move to negotiate the freedom of the more than 200 schoolgirls abducted from their school dormitory in Chibok Borno State.
According to the source, the meeting took place during the weekend at Obasanjo’s farm in Ota, Ogun State. It had in attendance, relatives of some senior Boko Haram members, intermediaries and the former president.
