President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the appointment of Mr. Ikechukwu Oguine as the new Coordinator of Legal Services and Company Secretary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
Oguine is to replace Anthony Chukwuma Madichie, who has served as NNPC Legal Adviser and Secretary to the Corporation since February 2011.
According to a statement signed by Dr. Reuben Abati, the special adviser to the president on media and publicity, the approval of Oguine, a native of Anambra State with 29 years of experience as a legal practitioner, came on Monday.
“He was previously General Counsel of Chevron Nigeria Limited and has been a partner in Advisory Legal Consultants, a Law Firm specializing in oil, gas, power and mining”, Abati said.
