President Goodluck Jonathan on Wednesday continued with the gale of sack as he fired Minister of Sports, Bolaji Abdullahi.The sack was announced just as he was about to begin the day’s edition of the weekly Federal Executive Council meeting.
The president replaced him with a newly sworn-in minister, Tamuno Danagogo, from Rivers State.
The other 10 confirmed nominees by the Senate who were sworn into office by the president include Musiliu Obanikoro, as Minister of State Defence; Mohammed Wakil, as Minister of State Power; Abduljelili Adesiyan, as Minister of Police Affairs; Aminu Wali, as Minister of Foreign Affairs; and Khaliru Alhassan, asMinister of State for Health.
Others are Lawrencia Laraba, who now handles the Ministry of Environment; Asabe Asmau Ahmed, who is Minister of State Agriculture; Aliyu Gusau, as Minister of Defence; Boni Haruna, former governor of Adamawa, who now heads the Ministry of Youth Development; and Akon Eyakenyi as Minister of Land and Housing.
